Digital Skills for Beginners

Use IT

Get started with the basics in small classes in a friendly environment and get the skills and confidence to join the digital world.

Learning digital skills can help people get into the right employment. Our programme teaches basic computer skills for people not in work looking for the skills they need to get online.  With Use It they will earn the essential skills to begin computing with confidence, search and apply for jobs and get all the benefits of joining the digital world.

Learn everything from how to switch a computer on and how the keyboard works to sending emails and searching for jobs. We help people to learn in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere with individual support from our experienced trainers and our team of volunteers.

Classes are located across Edinburgh including Leith, North Edinburgh, Wester Hailes and Gilmerton. They run on a rolling basis half a day per week for up to 8 weeks. To find the nearest class and to book a place contact us today.

Use IT Plus

This course is run in tandem with Use IT and offers intermediate learning in Microsoft Office packages tailored to suit your needs. It covers Word, Excel and Powerpoint. It also covers basic technical skills. We offer our own certificate plus the Microsoft Digital Literacy certificate.
