We are delighted to announce that Castlebrae Business Centre (ran and operated by Cre8te) has been recommended to receive £1.9 million funding from the Regeneration Capital Grant Fund.
The £25m fund will provide financial support from 2014/15 to projects that help to deliver large scale improvements to deprived areas. The fund was open to all 32 Scottish Local Authorities for projects that engage and involve local communities and demonstrate their ability to deliver sustainable regeneration outcomes. A full list of the projects recommended for funding can be viewed here – http://www.scotland.gov.uk/Topics/Built-Environment/regeneration/investment/capitalgrants/rcgf/recommended
This funding would enable Cre8te Opportunities to further their great work around economic and social inclusion in the East of Edinburgh, and they look forward to the benefits that it would bring to the area in terms of new businesses, job creation and employment.
Margaret Burgess, Minister for Housing & Welfare, said:
“Investment in such transformational regeneration projects is absolutely key for stimulating economic growth throughout Scotland. This Government is absolutely clear about the contribution that regeneration makes to growing our economy and improving the chances of Scotland’s people”.
