As part of the wider aims of Cre8te’s Women’s Project, they are currently collaborating with the University of Dundee on a socially innovative research and development project.
This collaboration is *funded by the Social Innovation Fund (European Social Fund and the Scottish Government),
Through co-creation their collaboration aims to generate, develop and test ideas for supporting women who wish to exit prostitution. The research will focus on the psychological and social mechanisms involved in exiting prostitution, and will work with prostituted women (and key stakeholders) to further understand their experience of stigma and identity and how this impacts their abilities to re-conceptualise who they are and who they could be in the future.
Dr Anna Dobai (University of Dundee) and Jules Sheridan (Cre8te) are keen to interview key informants from other projects who are involved in supporting prostituted women, as well as other women who have been subjected to commercial sexual exploitation.
If you think you can help with this research or would like to find out more, then please contact Jules at Cre8te in the first instance by calling 0131 661 8888 or by emailing jules@cre8te.co.uk
